This is an example of a well made fossilized limestone bottle, with unusually good hollowing for this material and a subtle form, where the attention to detail is exemplified by the central convex detail on the concave foot. Although this bottle has been referred to as being made from fossilized coral, there is in fact no indication that this particular material bears any coral fossils and they seem more likely to be small organisms or even vegetable material.
