This is a very elegant example of this type of limestone, as they are often heavy and not very well hollowed. In this case the craftsman has unusually cut the stone "square-on", creating a slender tall bottle, with white patches all of a uniform size, making for a striking and memorable example. When examined closely the white inclusions have a characteristic "fossilized" core further adding to the delicacy of this example.
